Google+ Shuts Down
Published by Samsiani

Google closes its social network
Google closed the social network it had launched in 2011, ending an unsuccessful attempt to establish its own social platform, the BBC reported.
The company cited low usage: the average session lasted less than five seconds. A 2018 security incident involving the personal data of 52.5 million people also played a major role. The planned closure had been announced in October 2018.
While other technology companies were expanding their services — Apple, for example — did closing Google+ amount to an admission of failure? Or did it point towards other developments the company had yet to announce?
