Website forms that still submit before JavaScript loads

Someone completes a contact form as soon as the page appears. The interface is visible, but JavaScript has not loaded. Submission loses the enquiry or places its fields in the page address. This affects slow loading as well as deliberately disabled scripts.
Build the basic route with HTML and a server handler. Add JavaScript to improve feedback and avoid a full navigation where appropriate, while preserving the same underlying result.
Choose the submission method deliberately
HTML submission attributes define the destination and method. The ordinary default when the method is omitted is GET. Personal message fields should not unexpectedly become URL parameters.
Use an appropriate POST handler and working action address. POST does not itself encrypt data; HTTPS provides transport protection. Accept and validate ordinary form submissions on the server rather than relying exclusively on a script-specific format.

Give both routes the same outcome
Confirm successful receipt. Plan an appropriate redirect after acceptance to avoid accidental resubmission on refresh. Do not put personal message content in the confirmation URL. Explain errors and how someone can continue.
Browser validation helps but does not replace server checks. Validate accepted size, format and permitted actions on the server too. Abuse protection needs understandable responses rather than silently losing legitimate requests.

Test the foundation after enhancement
Check disabled JavaScript, slow loading, interrupted connections and repeated clicks. Do not announce success before server acceptance. Use a clear response to a timeout instead of indefinite waiting.
- Submit before the script becomes available.
- Verify method, destination and received data.
- Confirm personal fields stay out of the URL.
- Test errors, confirmation and refresh.
- Then compare the enhanced interaction.
During form development, treat appearance and reliability together. A quickly displayed form is complete when its submission route is usable from that same moment.
